Hotel Centrale, in the heart of the city, is the best place to rediscovered a location with an important historic heritage. Alcamo was founded in 828 by the  Muslim commander Al-Kamuk, from which the town took the name. There were a lot of dominations (Norman, Spanish, Bourbon).

The Aragon period marks the progressive development of the country, and painting, sculpture and architecture testify the shine of it. Having a walk among the fascinating streets of the city centre of Alcamo you can admire important monuments such as the “Castello dei Conti di Modica” and lots of baroque churches with masterpieces of famous artist such as Gagini, Serpotta and G. Borremans.
